Help Finding the Right Hat Size
- You can grab a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string to measure you head.
- Wrap the measuring tape or string around your head. You want to position it on your mid-forehead, above your eyebrows and ears. Then make sure it goes around the largest part of the back of your head. You want to be sure that your measuring tape is not below your eyebrows.
- Once you have the position right you want to have the measuring tape or string as level and snug (not super tight). You can then take the measuring tape or string off your head, being sure to keep track where it over laps so you can measure to correct length (where it meets). You can measure the string with a ruler.
- Compare your head measurement to the hat size chart or sizing in inches. Hat sizes can vary between brands, so it is important to refer to the specific size for the hat you want.
- If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the larger size, as hats can be adjusted with inserts or cushions.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Size
- Measure your head multiple times to make sure that you are getting the best measurement correctly.
- Avoid pulling what you are using to measure too tightly.
- Head shapes and sizes differ among people.
