I really enjoy painting on wood. It has been a hard thing to learn on my own with trail and error as I go. Of course I’m drawn to sunflowers the most. I find them to be the easiest of flowers to draw. They are something I always doodled as a child in my notebooks during school. Not always looking like a traditional sunflower, but variations of pointed petals with layers much as doodles can be.
Painting on the wood rounds interest me the most. They make for great unique wall hangings or even turn them into lazy susans for your home!
I have a hard time sitting back and feeling accomplished by my paintings. I’m always pretty critical and expect big things fast. I’m slowly learning to sit back more and recognize my hard work and efforts.
